Scan 500 is an automatic colony counter that ensures fast and efficient counting of colonies, including on chromogenic agar. It guarantees excellent reproducibility. The images and results are saved and usable anytime. Scan 500 is also an inhibition zone reader.

4. Chromogenic aga
Detection up to 7 colours on the same dish. The selection of the colour can be set directly on that of the characteristic colony. A slider adjusts the sensitivity. The reading of chromogenic media allows the detection of Salmonella on XLD medium and E.Coli on TBX medium.

5. Inhibition zone measurement
Inhibition zone measurement with EUCAST 2020, CA-SFM 2020, CLSI and customisable databases.

The Scan software complies with FDA recommendations, particularly on audit trail and security of results. The user account management, integrated in the software, allows the creation of up to 5 levels of rights. The Supervisor-Administrator has all the roles while the other roles are subject to certain rights. Password management secures user accounts.

Scan 500 connects to the LIMS in bi-directionality and can be connected to the diluter and plater via dataLink traceability system.

2. Data Recording
CSV After each approved counting, the Scan 500 automatically saves and exports the counting parameters and results to a CSV file.

3. Data Export
Scan 500 offers multiple export possibilities to save manual input time. It also increases the security and quality of your analyses. Usually, Petri dishes are thrown away after counting and no further verification is possible in the event of a claim. With Scan 500, all reports are archivedExport your results to your PC or archive them in CSV, Excel^TM, OpenOffice^TM, PDF, SCA, BIO format. You can also export images from the camera in JPEG, PNG and BMP format.

Ideal with dataLink full traceability system
dataLink is a complete traceability system for the microbiological analysis of a sample, from its plating with easySpiral Pro or easySpiral Dilute platers to colony counting. After incubation, the reading of the datamatrix code makes it possible to collect the information of the sample and its plating and to automatically launch on the colony counter the associated parameters.
