Crosstex Traditional Self-Contained Biological Indicators (SCBIs) for monitoring steam sterilization consist of a durable polycarbonate vial with cap, a crushable glass ampoule with Trypticase® Soy Broth (TSB) modified with pH indicator, and a disc inoculated with Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores.
